Our Vows

Johnny’s Vows:
Claire,
First and foremost, you are the most incredible person I’ve ever known
Every single day you make me a better man
You’ve always embraced both the best and worst parts of me, and I vow to always to the same
for you…(even though you don’t have any “worst” parts)
I promise to never stop adventuring or exploring with you, wherever our journey takes us
I promise to make you laugh and smile every day
I’ve never met anybody who walks into a room and owns it the way that only you can, and
standing here today I can truly say I consider myself the luckiest man in the world.
You light up my life and bring me joy when I’m at my darkest
You’ve been my best friend since the moment I met you, and I vow until the day I die that will never change
To say you and I have had bad days or tough times would be a flat out lie. Everyday with you
seems to be better than the last.
Nothing in my life has ever been as natural as us.
You’re the best partner in crime a man could ask for, and I know that together, we can handle anything and everything this crazy world throws our way.
When I think about our future and what lies ahead, all I can really really do is smile.
From waking you up with “Good Morning Beautiful”, to making your nightly tea and falling asleep by your side, I promise to love you, always, and forever, everyday.

Claire’s Vows:
(inspired by Seasons of Love from RENT)

Three million, forty-five thousand, two-hundred minutes.

That’s how long we’ve been together, and today, in front of our loved ones, I stand here to promise my heart to you.

In the sunsets and midnights, in cups of coffee and inches, I vow to measure our love not in the passing of days, but in the moments that define us.

Our life together is full of laughter and strife, and I wouldn’t choose it any other way.

Three million, forty-five thousand, two-hundred minutes. How do I measure our love?

In glasses of wine
Or, let’s be real, bottles
In Superhero movies
Or football season

I commit to being your teammate, your biggest fan, and your travel agent in every adventure.

From sunrise to sunset, I promise to be the constant in our ever-changing world.

I vow to adapt and grow with you – even if it means being a Bears fan.

In the bridges we’ve crossed and the mountains we’ve climbed, I promise to be by your side.

Three million, forty-five thousand, two-hundred minutes.

You are my hero
and my home.
You are my best friend
And the love of my life.

So today, and every day, with all of my heart, I choose you.

In the measure of love, for the next three million, forty-five thousand, two-hundred minutes and beyond, I am yours.

Always and forever. I promise.
